2 bedroom plus den, 2 bath home for rent, approx 1200 sq ft, $1225 plus 2/3 or 3/4 utilities (heat, hydro, water, internet/cable) - depends on how many tenants. Available immediately. The home is located on McAdam Avenue in Scotia Heights. Shopping and all levels of schools nearby, as well as easy bus service to downtown. The rental includes the main floor and upper floor of the house, and has its own laundry. The basement suite is occupied by the owner of the home (separate entrances) so you know what that means: quiet, respectful tenants only. If you are ‘party people’, or clog dancers (lol) or you’re rolling your eyes right now reading this, we probably won’t be a good fit. The main floor contains the living room with a dining area, kitchen with dishwasher and built in microwave, large bedroom with lots of storage, full bathroom, and an additional area that could be office space or a reading nook. Hardwood/laminate/marble tile throughout. Upper level used to be its own separate unit, and contains a smaller bedroom with walk-in closet, living area with lots of storage, laundry, and the second bathroom with a stand up shower. Laminate floors in the living areas, tile in the bathroom. The upper level also has two small juliette balconies. Parking pad with plug. Central a/c. There’s a large (shared) deck with a bbq, and a fire pit in back. There is also a large garden which I’ve never really done anything with (I’m not a green thumb) so if that’s your thing, you’d be welcome to it. Extra storage is available in the garage and shed if needed. Lawn maintenance and snow removal included. No smoking, no pets. I love this house and love my neighbors, and am looking for tenants who will be respectful of that. I’ll need to see proof of employment and rental references. One year lease. No rent increase after the first year if you renew for a second year.
